It might be pointless to include these title screenshots since I can’t capture the translation along with it, but I’m going to keep doing it anyways because I feel like it.
In other news, I was thinking of participating in the blog carnival, but I probably won’t. I’m kind of a loner in the aniblogosphere, so it’s not like anyone cares for my opinions on aniblogging at all. I should probably comment around on other sites more (or at least tweet other bloggers more) instead of just lurking everywhere.
Holy shit, I’m actually writing a new post? And it’s a Readers’ Pick one? Clearly, the end is nigh.
In all seriousness, I actually am sorry that I’m so behind on these. I didn’t want to make the same mistake I did with the Saki ones, but I did anyways. Damn I suck.
My plan is to release at least one of these a day starting today until I’m caught up. I was initially thinking one a day would be too much for my lazy ass, but seeing how little I have to say for this episode, it may be more easily accomplished than expected. In fact, seeing how short this post will probably be, I was planning to post another today. However, I may be writing up a post on a completely different topic instead. Who knows?
I said I’d keep up on my posts for Readers’ Pick of the Season this time, and so I shall!
Also, I’ll still make a post when I catch up on Saki, I’ve just been distracted lately and am going through shows pretty slowly. I’m not bored of anime or anything, I just always think of something else to do right when I’m about to start. It’s quite annoying.
No translation for the title shots anymore because MPC doesn’t like to include subs in them. I used to use VLC for my shots, but for some reason it gave me an error whenever I tried to take JPG pictures. What kind of player can take PNG shots but not JPG ones?
But a far more relevant point of confusion was this damn episode. What the hell, guys? You told me to get ready for practically Yu-Gi-Oh! levels of hacked mahjong playing, and that’s definitely not what was given. I never imagined the show winning the first Readers’ Pick was going to actually make me feel disappointment. I imagined it being more along the lines of either deep loathing or surprised enjoyment.
Also known as the episode with an excessive lack of both mahjong and monocles. Not sure if I’m joking when I say the quality of this show in my eyes is dependent on how often that monocle character appears.
But anyways, another episode of Saki, and another day of wondering if I was lucky or cursed that this show was the winner. I can’t decide if I don’t like the show but am trying to like it, or if I like the show but feel like I shouldn’t. Or perhaps it’s some insane middle ground I can’t even begin to fathom. Saki may be a mindset of its own.
In a sudden surge of votes that totally wasn’t a conspiracy, Saki barely pushed past Eureka Seven AO and Sengoku Collection to win the poll for this season.
So now I have to write about it for each episode.
