About Riyoga’s Ramblings
HISTORY OF RIYOGA’S RAMBLINGS:
I originally started this blog back in March of 2009, because it was the “hip” thing to do at the time. All my friends had one, so I succumbed to peer pressure and made one myself. However, it was not an anime blog, just me posting about random things in my life.
It was originally just titled “ChaosApprentice’s Blog,” along with some stupid slogan about chaos that I don’t remember, because that was my username, and I thought it was cool as shit at the time. I also made a MyAnimeList account around this time, which is why it’s the same username (What can I say? I’m a one-trick pony).
I went for probably around a month before I got bored and quit, along with all my friends who also had blogs. My life was as boring to read as it was to write.
Around December of 2009, I suddenly decided to revive my blog again. I continued to just post about my life, but I also made a Spring Impressions post that had mine and a friend’s opinions on upcoming anime.
I had a lot of fun with it, and I decided a few days later to turn this into an anime blog/normal blog hybrid. But after about two posts, I decided to just completely turn it into an anime blog.
Throughout January and the beginning of February, I episodically blogged: two posts on Ghost Hound (I wanted to watch an older show), one post on Baka to Test to Shokanju, four posts on Ookamikakushi, and four posts (two episodes) on Hanamaru Kindergarten. After that, I got bored and suddenly stopped.
At the end of March, I randomly came back and did a review on Kobato., since I really enjoyed the show and wanted to write about it somewhere. I then vanished again.
In October of 2010, I came back, yet again, and did a Fall Impressions post. I then blogged one episode of Star Driver, and a post with the OP to To Aru Majutsu no Index II. I then vanished again (noticing a pattern?).
On January 8, 2011, I changed the blog name (to Riyoga’s Ramblings), changed my username, changed the site design, and made a post saying that I was going to start anime blogging yet again, but this time without doing episodic posts. They were way too long to write (because I <3 rambling), and I didn’t feel like it was worth it.
I have been blogging ever since, and have even managed to pick up almost
100 200 500 comments already (I thought I was going to have to wait for two years like the big-shots before getting anywhere near that).
I’m still a very small presence in the aniblogosphere, but I’m working on getting to know other bloggers (instead of just lurking on their sites like I used to). Even ones with different tastes than my own (I love me a good debate).
