Preview: C: The Money of Soul and Possibility Control

Almost all the free time I got from finishing my boatload of homework from before was used up catching up on shows. This is what I get for watching half the bloody shows airing this season.
Though, by the looks of it, unless there are quite a few shows to be added to the summer lineup, I’ll be watching very few shows next season.
C is… kind of a hard show to explain. Mainly because what’s going on is still somewhat unexplained.
As the title suggests, the show mainly revolves around money. Apparently this show is filled with metaphors or symbolism related to economics and such, but that hasn’t happened yet. Either that or it’s way too complicated for me to understand.
For a show revolving around money, it mainly takes place in an area with a very suitable name.
In the Finance District, people make “deals” which are essentially battles, and the winner gets the loser’s money. The money won here is important to have, because you can use it for attacks in battles, and the money carries over into the real world.
I say real world, because the Finance District isn’t exactly what you’d call normal. It’d be easiest to explain with some picture examples of what a battle is like there.
Yeah, this show is like Pokémon mixed with Yu-Gi-Oh!
…Mixed with economics.
As I mentioned before, I can’t really go in-depth with this show right now because the bigger picture has yet to unfold. It’s a noitaminA show though, so it shouldn’t disappoint (lets just pretend Fractale never happened, please).
The show is a little rough here and there animation-wise, mainly because of their very… liberal use of CG. What’s the point of randomly switching between a character being hand-drawn and CG, anyways? If occasional QUALITY is enough to make you drop a show, then don’t bother with this one.
My personal opinion on the show is pretty simple.
It’s weird.
It’s a bit confusing.
It’s awesome.
Basically, the show is a lot like Masakaki.
What is it about inter-dimensional clown-people that’s so cool?
That clown makes me think of that white creature again, just this one doesn’t lie that much
“Don’t you want to become a magical entrepreneur?”
Masakaki confirmed for stealing entropy from Financial District deals.
That’s exactly what I thought about Masakaki! This dude’s pretty awesome and I hope he’ll appear more in the show.
So far all he seems to do is bring in new
magical girlsentrepreneurs. I can see him playing a larger role by the end, though.Masakaki <33333
He’s evil as shit.
